So, when the KFC Fire Log came out in Canada, I despaired at my inability to acquire one. That’s why I once again put the DIY in KFC and made myself a fried chicken-scented fire log (https://youtu.be/Tra36TF21X8).
But it looks like I gave up too quickly, as I found a *real* one for sale at a Canadian Tire, only a scant 150km away! After a brief road trip, I had in my possession my very own KFC Fire Log! So, of course, I needed to craft up a new DIY version for a head-to-head battle!
Which one wins? It depends what you want out of a KFC fire log. Do you want huge flames outdoors, a decent smell before you burn it, a cheaper price, and a fun project? Then I’d suggest the DIY version. But if you value the kitsch, want something that will light easily and burn clean in your fireplace, then the official log is for you.
